好喜歡Benedict Cumberbatch的演技
I really admire Turing’s talent and determination.
The Imitation Game is a biographical thriller based on the life of Alan Turing, the brilliant mathematician and computer scientist.
Benedict Cumberbatch played Turing, and his performance was incredible.
He showed not only Turing’s genius but also his vulnerability and struggles.
There’s one scene that really impressed me.
When the Commander looks at Turing’s résumé, he immediately assumes Alan is a genius because he had already published scientific papers at the age of 23.
But Alan himself doesn’t see it that way.
He actually compares himself to Newton and Einstein, saying that they had achieved much more at the same age.
This shows his humility and also the high standards he set for himself.
Another part I found fascinating is when Turing talks about the German Enigma machine.
Everyone else believes Enigma is completely unbreakable.
The Commander doesn’t think language skills are necessary, but Alan looks at it differently.
For him, codes are just puzzles, and puzzles are what he loves most.
When asked what he thinks about the program, Alan confidently says “Enigma.”
This shows that he already knows about the top-secret project and sees it as the ultimate challenge.
For Alan, Enigma isn’t just a code. It’s the most difficult puzzle in the world.
While others see it as impossible, Alan insists they’ll only know for sure once he has a chance to try.
That moment really highlights his confidence, determination, and unique way of thinking.
It also explains why he eventually succeeded in building the machine that cracked Enigma.
The film highlights Turing’s brilliance and, more importantly, his perseverance in the face of doubt and obstacles. He was often misunderstood by his colleagues, criticized for his unconventional methods, and even questioned by his superiors. But despite all the skepticism, he never gave up. That determination eventually led him to build the machine that cracked Enigma, which changed the course of history.
